Touch the Sky

I’ve had Hillsong’s newest song stuck in my head the past couple days, and one line in particular.

I found my life, when I laid it down

As I prepare for AMT and reflect upon what God has done over the past month, that’s exactly how I feel.

Is my life perfect? Abso-freaking-lutely NOT. My life is NOTHING like how I thought it would be at my age. Literally, nothing. But the catch is that those were MY plans of what I thought my life should look like. God clearly had others.

My life certainly isn’t easy either, and it’s only going to get tougher as I enter into missions and ministry. But there is an unbelievable peace that comes with knowing that God is in control and that I’m doing what He wants me to do.

As tough as it is and as “unsuitable” by worldly standards I may be for it, missions makes me feel alive.

I’ve laid down the life I had planned and have found something far beyond anything I could have ever imagined. And I know that I could never even fathom the things that God is getting ready to do in me and through me in Zambia and wherever else He leads me.

Praise God. To You be the glory.

If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. – Matthew 10:39

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” – Isaiah 55:8

20 Days.
