Now it’s truly official.
I’m fully funded and I have my plane ticket.

I am in complete awe of God. It’s hard to believe that just over a month ago, I had totally given up; I was convinced that I wasn’t going this year. And then God whispered in my ear and changed everything and did the impossible. Now here I am! He has been pruning me during this process in great ways, and I cannot wait to see what He does in Zambia.
So to recap, I will be flying out on May 5th (in just three weeks!) to go to Zambia (in southeastern Africa) for three months for AMT, which stands for Advanced Missions Training. It’s the first big step in becoming a missionary with Overland Missions. I will be going to Zambia with about 20 other people, all taking the courses together. AMT is essentially like a missionary school where we will take 17 different courses, everything from preaching and theology to vehicle mechanics, bush cooking, and wilderness first responder (medical). In addition to the courses, one week each month we will go out on expedition to practice what we’re learning. I’ll be returning home on August 4th.
I am unbelievably excited! I definitely don’t think it’s totally hit me yet that I’m going back and for three months. AMT is going to be extremely challenging, but also incredibly amazing, and I’ve got an awesome team going with me.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to support, it’s never too late! Please pray for myself and for my team as we prepare mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for our journey. Satan is on the prowl, so continue to pray for us until we arrive home in August. It’s also never too late to support financially. Although my primary costs are funded, I still have other costs, such as my visa, which alone is about $300. If you’d like to help out for AMT, contact me ASAP.
