How to Support

AMT officially starts 5 months from tomorrow.
This is all very surreal to me. Never in a million years did I think I’d be going into missions and ministry. Never did I think that God would choose me of all people to help share His name across the globe. And it all happened so fast. But He knows what He’s doing.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” – Isaiah 55:8

Five months isn’t very far away, but I have a lot of preparation to do in that time, and that preparation is in addition to starting school next month. The biggest thing, of course, is raising the support. I know that God will provide (I’m still not sure how He pulled it off for our missions trip in October), but I want to invite every one of you to be a part of that provision and our work in Zambia with those AMAZING people.

I just started reading Radical by David Platt (why I haven’t read it sooner, I don’t know), and he talks about his trips to Asia, meeting with underground church leaders and how hungry they are for the Gospel. He also talks about how we, in America, have severely lost that hunger; how we completely take it for granted.

I can’t really speak for people in other parts of the world, as I haven’t been there [yet], but the people in Zambia are hungry for the Gospel, too. It’s as if they know there’s something more to this life, and they desperately want to know what it is. Your support helps to feed their souls. Your support means someone gets to hear about Jesus for the first time. Your support means someone gets to learn what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus for the first time. Your support means someone turning away from believing in witch doctors and cutting their strings. Your support is a seriously big deal.

There are a couple ways you can support.

The first is prayer. Please keep me, my fellow AMT students, and everyone at Overland in your prayers, as well as the people we come into contact with. Missionary work opens up doors for Satan to attack us mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, and He is determined to take us down. Your prayers help keep us going strong!

The second is financial support. Trust me when I say that every bit helps and is appreciated! You don’t have to be able to be a big hitter (though those are needed, too) to make a difference. Every amount from $10 to $10,000 is needed! I trust you to pray fervently about the amount the Lord wants you to give and act obediently.

There are two ways to support financially: via online or by mailing a check. Please note that in both formats, you MUST annotate that the funds are to be designated for “Stacy Moorhouse – May AMT”, otherwise they will go to Overland as a whole.

To give by mailing a check, make it out to Overland Missions, include a slip of paper with your name and address, and stating that the donation is for “Stacy Moorhouse – May AMT”, and send both to:
Overland Missions
P.O. Box 566
Cape Canaveral, FL 32920

To give online, visit https://www.overlandmissions.com/donate/, and fill out the form. Next to the amount in the payment information section, there is a box that says “Donation Memo.” You MUST put “Stacy Moorhouse – May AMT” in this box to designate your gift to me.

The financial deadlines for AMT are as follows:
$500 – ASAP! This was technically due yesterday, December 5th.
$2,000 more ($2,500 total) – January 2
$2,500 more ($5,000 total) – February 6
$2,000 more ($7,000 total) – March 6

I will also need an additional $2,000 to cover my at-home expenses (bills) while I’m away. This remaining amount will need to be paid directly to me, as opposed to going through Overland.

THANK YOU in advance for your generous support!
